...I thought I'd share some experiences I've had with your product...  I bought mine many years ago.... So (with OBDCOM)  I have a 2006 or so tool that is, thanks to available software updates, still spanking the 2014 one I just tried... In a world where most electronic stuff gets obsolete as soon as you buy it, that's impressive!
 
 I used it this summer on my sons 1997 Ram that had a bad post-cat o2 sensor.  With the new one installed, I watched the real-time o2 data during warm-up, and realized the new sensor was much more responsive and began sending feedback way sooner than the front (still original) one. I think I'll replace it too now, even though the CEL went away... It'll be nice to get that V8 into closed loop ASAP to save fuel.  A regular scan tool won't tell you that ;-)
 
About 2 weeks ago, a coworker with a 2001 Toyota Corolla had a lean code.  One look at the freezeframe data, and we cleaned the MAF sensor.  Fixed....

I am not a mechanic by trade, so I'm sure I could do even more with it if I had a little training, but I can certainly appreciate the power of this unit. It has saved me far more than its purchase price.  I love it.

I've had 2 or 3 questions over the years I've owned it, and you responded so quickly it almost made me think I was your only customer, but I know that isn't true ;-)

I purchased your OBDCOM system on Tuesday evening, Aug. 27th, and it was delivered on Friday of the same week!  I replaced all eight of the coil packs on my 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra, but forgot to re-connect a sensor after finishing the install. My Service Engine Soon Light came on while on the test drive. I returned home and lifted the hood and found the disconnected sensor and re-connected it. The Service Engine Soon Light failed to turn off.  I discovered your product and ordered the system. On Saturday, the 31st, I installed the software on my laptop with no problems. Connected the module to my car, plugged the cable into my laptop, started the software program. The code appeared in the code window. I clicked on Erase all codes Button and the codes were erased. Turned on the ignition and started the car. The Service Engine Soon Light was off and has remained off. This took me all of five minutes. Well worth the price, and the software package is excellent.  Thanks for a great product.

The unscrupulous owner swore it was just an O2 sensor code that was the problem in his craigs list ad.  However, he immediately changed his story when I went to look at the vehicle and pulled out my laptop to actually run diagnostics on the car. I've been toying with the idea of buying a code scanner for a long time. Instead I would go to the local AutoZone and have them pull codes, but it was always a hassle. As I priced scanners with the options I wanted (logging, gauges, graphs) the prices were over $300. I was referred by ____ and I happy to say your price and features fit my needs!

I've already fixed my brother-in-law's van using OBDCOM by getting a code that wasn't showing a MIL, and AutoZone wouldn't pull the codes because the MIL was off. Thanks for a quality and affordable product.

...I have never used a code reader before, but consider myself a pretty good mechanic...  I monitored monitoring mainly the MAF, Timing, Throttle Position Sensor and some others (which is a really powerful and cool tool to have).  This allowed me to see what was happening and record the engine events as they took place. Got the unit in Mondays mail as promised. Opened the package and installed the software, gave a quick look at the manual, then took it out to the car and hooked it all up. I would say 20 minutes total time from receiving it and reading the codes in the car.   I had a bunch of codes but figure they are all related so I reset everything and am now waiting on the next code to appear so I will know where to start.  Couldn't be easier AND I am 73, which is the age where it is difficult to remember anything for 20 minutes!   Later, and thanks again, Bill, Anacortes, WA

I can't find a place to send positive feedback on your web site, so here it is.  I purchased the OBDCOM when my 2004 Chevy pickup was experiencing the dreaded check engine light problem.  A mechanic said it could be one of several problems and would take a while to diagnose.  I purchased the OBDCOM and got a single code, looked it up, then found info on the web that the breather filter for the fuel tank fill was the most likely culprit, and was a common problem for my year vehicle.  My wifes 2006 Chrysler showed an Engine light and the problem was quickly fixed. I keep the unit with me at the fire station, the guys have used it to diagnose problems and even our mechanic has borrowed it to run diagnostics on the Executive vehicles. This tool is fantastic, easy to use, easy to look up service codes and narrows the problem down quickly. Thanks for this great product. Thank you guys for creating a tool and software that simply WORK!!!  I got mine 3 days after ordering and of course had to play with it right away. I grabbed the laptop and headed for the garage. Software installed in no time at all. Took a second to find my port (under the dashboard, behind a flip cover) but once I connected it, switched the key to run position and clicked "connect", my car and I were of the same mind!!  NICE!!  My check engine light came on because my gas cap was loose. Replaced the gas cap, cleared the fault and I was good to go.  It's really nice knowing what's going on with your car as opposed to depending on others. Thanks again!!!!   John

Got my OBDCOM yesterday.  Was able to read the Check Engine code on my Lexus LS (P0171 "System too lean bank 1") and reset it to see if it returns.  Hopefully it was just a one-time thing, but 'information is power' and now I know what to tell the mechanic if it does come to that -- and I won't be completely at his mercy.

Within one week I developed a miss in my 2001 Crown Vic...  I plugged in the unit and my laptop.  The single code PO305 was a misfire in cylinder number 5.  I was certain the plug was good, there are no plug wires so I took a shot at replacing the coil pack.  (This Ford has one per cylinder).  I suspected the coil but had no idea which one.
Got it on the first try and I am a 64 year back yard mechanic that lost track of cars parts a long time ago. For the first time in many years, I was able to diagnose and repair a problem on my own.   It paid for itself in one use!!  It was easy to use and I really like the gauge displays, the make me remember the old days, love analog!! 
Showed the unit to my brother, a full time real life mechanic, and he was so impressed he was going to get one for home. Generic and factory codes, plus real time, were wow factors for him.  Thanks for a terrific product.  Chuckaroo, Ijamsville, MD

I don't normally respond to any purchases I make on internet products - in fact I have never give any feedback, but this time I feel the need. 
My short story is my 17-year old son has been driving a 1998 Ford Contour with 140,000 miles.  After paying a garage $700 for a fuel pump and $500 for radiator work the car continued to give us problems with rough idleing, overheating, stalling, check engine lights and finally began to throw the serpentine belt due to all of the above. Frustration with this (what i thought was a blown head gasket, bad rings etc.) set in and I let the car sit for two months until I started checking the internet with possible solutions.  Some how, through a random search on the internet, your product popped up. (I credit that to an act of God :).  I ordered it and recieved it two days later.
After installing the software with ease and reading the 5 codes that it read, I discovered and replaced a bad valve cover gasket, spark plug and wires and of all things, the battery.
To my amazement, I cleared the codes and the car has been running great for 5 days now. 
What a great product!!  Me and my son Thank You and your employees for a GREAT product.  It probably saved me another $700 minimum.  Tim, Cincinnati, Ohio

I have had your software for two days and have saved hundreds of dollars.  I had a problem with both my vehicles which is what prompted me to order your product. The repair shops wanted a $90.00 diagnostic fee for each one, not to mention the cost of repairs.  I diagnosed one problem as a defective intake air temp sensor ($7.56) and the issue with the other vehicle was diagnosed as a bad camshaft position sensor ($55.43).  Both vehicles now run perfectly.  These two repairs combined would have cost me over $500.00 at the dealership service department.  Your system is far superior to conventional hand held code readers.  Your software actually provides enough information to form logical conclusions for diagnosis.  Great Product at a very reasonable price.  Dan.  Luverne, AL

I got it today and done a quick scan of codes on my 98 ford escort and came up with 5 codes.  I erased the codes and rescaned the engine codes and a valid code came up. This purchase was the best I have made in some time. I recently had a check light on. The dealer advised that it a leak in the EVAP system and the cost of repairs estimated $650.00. I was able read the code and the information with this device and made the repairs for $120.00 including parts, of which I purchased from the same dealer.

I had the check engine light illuminate on my 2000 Saab 9-5. Having worked at a Saab dealership in the past I knew I just needed to read the codes to diagnose the problem. After paying about $360 to have a "check engine" light diagnosed and an O2 sensor replaced I decided I would order your product.  When a check engine light appeared about two weeks after $360 dollar repair, I just hooked up the OBDCOM unit up to my Tundra and found that an O2 sensor had been slow in starting.  I could see from the live action screen that it was functioning normally.  I was able to clear the light with the OBDCOM and it has stayed clear. The unit has already paid for itself.  No more guessing as to what a check engine light means and no more paying almost $100 at the garage to find out.  Obviously I highly recommend your product.

I fixed it today. The culprit was the PVC hose elbow at the air gas intake manifold, $8 fix.
Anyway I just wanted to say: Thank You for all your support!   I am glad I decided to buy your OBDCOM system.  It was so easy to use and I found out what I needed to trouble shoot the problem. 
And Of course your personal support it the worlds best!!!  I could not believe how fast you responded to my emails and the information you gave me, advice and the links to the sites and clubs sites.  That helped a lot!  But the OBDCOM software is so cool. I love the gages so much. I feel like a kid playing around with them . Anyway if you need a referral of any kind I would be honored to pass it on to anybody that needs to find the most user friendly software and the best support in the OBD2 market.  I was amazed at the price too!  It's very reasonable for all the bells and whistles you get.

I tried this and it worked without a hitch.  I plugged in the interface and Windows told me it was installing new hardware, then that it had been installed successfully.  I took the laptop out to my truck, plugged it in and fired up the software.  It all works!

I was a bit skeptical. Your unit is significantly less expensive than the norm. More often than not, that means headaches of some kind.  However, I must say that I am pleased and impressed. I had doubts that I would be able to use your unit on my BMW ... However, the thought of going to the BMW dealer without any ammunition sends shivers down my spine! Your software loaded fine. I was able to connect to my system no problem, with no additional setup routines.  I read the code (my check engine light had been on), then did a real time O2 sensor scan.  Saw that they were both functioning within range, then cleared the code.  Problem solved ... I ordered the OBD on Monday and received it Wednesday, outstanding!
I run Vista and the software loaded without a hitch. 
I have a F150 which was missing.  Plugged in OBDCOM as instructed and found that the misfire was on cylinder #1 caused by an ignition coil.  Within 45 minutes had a new part ($34.00) and replaced it.  Problem solved.  My mechanic has charged me $150.00 for the same replacement in the past.  This thing has already paid for itself.   Joe

Bang on!  Pretty sure I saved the price of this tool in the first hour of use.
Discovered that a sensor was unplugged by the last garage that serviced the vehicle. Had to be intentional as they had no business being near the MAF sensor.  I want to thank you for a great tool at a great price!   Dan, Bear, DE
