Please follow these instructions closely. If you do not follow these steps, then the update will not work.

You can download the latest OBDCOM update file and codes from this page.  v 2.52

Be sure to EXIT the OBDCOM software before trying to update!

When you click on each of the links below, it will ask you to save the file somewhere.
SAVE THEM TO THE DESKTOP.  VERY IMPORTANT.

Update your trouble codes description file.
  Download the codes descriptions update in a compressed ZIP file.

AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD CODES.ZIP FILE YOU MUST OPEN IT AND SAVE THE CODES.DAT FILE TO YOUR DESKTOP.  VERY IMPORTANT.

REMEMBER to download both files and SAVE TO THE DESKTOP.

Then open the CODES.ZIP by double clicking on it, and copy the CODES.DAT file to the desktop.

Now to run the latest OBDCOM, just run it from the desktop OBDCOM file.  Do not use any shortcuts you might have elsewhere, or you may not be running the current version.  Running from the desktop where you just saved the downloads will ensure you run the latest version.

OBDCOM works in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP.
